Hi Reader,
The other day, I was going through a call recording with one of our Social Media Strategy clients, and I realized we hadn’t just hit her goal—we’d surpassed it x2.
Her social media sales had increased by more than 100% within three months of working with us! The wildest part? She was so focused on the process that she hadn’t even noticed she’d already blown past her goal 🤯
Throughout the journey, she sometimes felt discouraged, wondering if her efforts were paying off. That's why today I'm sharing 4 mindset shifts that I shared with her (that you definitely need to hear).
1️⃣ FOCUS ON THE DAILY ACTIONS: You can’t control the outcome, but you can control the daily actions that move you forward. It’s about the effort you put into content, DM conversations with ideal clients, talking about your offer, and refining your messaging.
2️⃣ NOTICE THE SMALL WINS: You’re not going to hit your big sales or business goals overnight. But you will see signals you’re on the right track. Are more aligned clients reaching out? Are people saying “yes” with fewer objections? Is there a rise in inquiries? Don’t be so focused on the big wins that you miss these smaller signs of success.
3️⃣ REFINE & TWEAK YOUR STRATEGY: Pay attention to what’s working—and what’s not. Look at the feedback from ideal clients in your DMs, the content that drives action, and the messaging that makes your dream clients think, “this is me.” Make small tweaks to keep improving your results.
4️⃣ TRUST THE PROCESS: Surface-level advice will tell you that if results aren’t instant, your content isn’t working. But real, long-term results take time. Once you’ve nailed down the foundation of your content messaging and strategy, focus on those daily actions and keep going!
When you focus on the process, daily actions & getting OBSESSED with your dream clients - you'll find your content doubling your business growth almost effortlessly ✨
Random Musings From Esther Nkechi's Mind 🧠...
So, in case you didn’t already know Reader — I’m afraid of heights (striking that out to embrace my new identity please 😂💅🏾).
The first time I climbed a pedestrian bridge, I almost started crawling and having a full-blown panic attack. In another instance during lunch with friends, I spent almost 20 minutes stuck at the base of a staircase & making multiple attempts with tears in my eyes because I was too scared to climb up to the restaurant.
However, a few months ago, something unexpected happened.
Normally, whenever I have to climb any height, I rely on music and prayers to drown out my nerves (and my brain plaguing me with irrational fears). However this time, I didn’t realize until I had reached the top that I’d made it all the way up with zero fear, hesitation, or pounding in my chest.
This was the same place where the first time I attempted to climb, I took a longer route just to avoid it. The second time, I almost had another panic attack and had to stop halfway up. But after a few tries and many climbs later, here I was, facing it without a single ounce of anxiety.
In that moment, I realized something I knew I had to share with you:
The secret to overcoming fear and improving in areas you struggle with/suck at is ✨continuous action✨.
"The way to develop self-confidence is to do the thing you fear and build up a record of successful experiences."- Dale Carnegie
At first, you might suck—do it scared, do it anxious, but keep doing it.
This week, I hope you remember to embrace the discomfort and fears and go for it anyway. I promise, there’s a better version of you on the other side, just waiting to be unlocked.
P.S My next goal is to experience the feeling of going Bungy jumping and sky diving even if tears are running down my eyes & my heart is filled with fear - let's see how that eventually goes 😩
Now it’s your turn—what’s something you’ve done (or want to do) that scares you? Or something you’re working at, even if it feels hard right now? Hit reply because I’d love to cheer you on, and who knows, your story might inspire someone else, too🤎
As usual, my DM is always open & if you enjoyed reading don't forget to share!
